PHledger · Global Chinese Care Network
One door for Chinese communities who need care, wherever they are.
Loneliness, family strain, job loss, settling in a new country, caring for an ageing parent — tell us what you are facing. We listen, pray with you if you wish, and connect you with local churches, volunteers and professional services near you.
! Emergency first
If anyone is in immediate danger, do not wait for us.
This network is not a crisis service. In Australia, call one of these now. Outside Australia, call your local emergency number.
01 — Three kinds of support
What we can help with
Every request is read by a trained care worker and routed to the right kind of help.
Emotional & spiritual care
Someone to listen. Prayer and encouragement, and an introduction to a Chinese-speaking church near you — only if you want it.
- Loneliness
- Family conflict
- Grief
- Questions of faith
Practical help
Visits, companionship to appointments, shopping and meals, respite for carers — through local volunteers and SilverConnect service workers.
- Seniors living alone
- Dementia families
- Single parents
- New migrants
Professional referral
When you need more than a volunteer can give, we help you reach the right service and, where needed, an interpreter.
- Dementia Australia 1800 100 500
- Legal aid
- Settlement services
- Chinese-speaking counselling
02 — How it works
From your message to a real person near you
- 01
You reach out
Email us in Chinese or English. Share only what you are comfortable with.
- 02
We check safety
If it is urgent, we point you to emergency services straight away.
- 03
We listen
A care worker contacts you, usually within two working days, to understand what you need.
- 04
We connect
You are matched to a local church care team, a volunteer, or a professional service.
- 05
We follow up
We check back to make sure the help actually arrived.
03 — Our commitments
Care you can trust
Confidential
Only the care worker assigned to you sees your details. Cases are never discussed in group chats. We collect the minimum, with your consent, under the Australian Privacy Act.
Within our limits
Mental-health crises, family violence and medical issues go to qualified professionals. Volunteers accompany; they do not replace experts.
Safe volunteers
Care workers hold a Police Check and Working with Children Check, complete care training, and are supervised by pastors or professionals.
Your choice
Faith is offered, never required. Anyone may ask for help, whatever their background or beliefs.
04 — Global partners
Local partners do the caring. We connect the network.
We are starting in Melbourne and growing across Australia, New Zealand, North America and beyond. Chinese churches, community organisations, aged-care and health providers, and volunteers are welcome to join.
Phase 1
Nov 2026 – Q1 2027
Melbourne pilot — first church partner + SilverConnect, 5–10 trained care workers.
Phase 2
2027
Sydney, Auckland and other cities — case-tracking platform and partner onboarding standard.
Phase 3
2028+
North America, Southeast Asia — multi-region referral directory.
Ask for care
Write to us in Chinese or English. Tell us your city, how we can reach you, and — as much as you are comfortable — what you are facing. We aim to reply within two working days.
! Not for emergencies — call 000 (Australia) or your local emergency number.
